Annual Required Campus Training to Open Oct. 7
Dear Colleague,
As an institution and as individuals committed to supporting a campus community where all students, faculty and staff feel safer, empowered and valued, we each have a part to play in modeling KU’s IRISE values and campus culture charter of Integrity, Respect, Innovation, Stewardship and Excellence. Annual required trainings reinforce our shared understanding of our community values and collective responsibilities to fellow Jayhawks.
As we previously shared, annual required training for the Lawrence and Edwards campuses will take place in the fall, aligning with KU Medical Center’s training timeframe and furthering our One KU initiative.
The training modules will be assigned Oct. 7 in MyTalent and should be completed by Nov. 14.
- All employees will complete The Information Security and Acceptable Use and Office of Civil Rights & Title IX required training.
- Designated Campus Security Authorities will also be assigned the Clery Act Training for CSAs.
- An optional, recommended course, Fostering Respect and Belonging, will be available for those who want to strengthen community.
Details and instructions on how to access the programs will be emailed to you in late September. Per the Required Training Policy, assigned required training must be completed by the specified deadline.
New employees who begin employment on or after October 8, 2025, will be assigned new employee training through MyTalent, which needs to be completed within 30 days. If you are a supervisor to a new employee, please remind them to complete this requirement in MyTalent.
These learning modules are designed to give you the knowledge and skills to support students and colleagues by identifying, reporting and resolving potential issues, both online and in person.
Thank you in advance for your efforts to build and maintain a safer and more secure campus.
We appreciate all that you do for our students, your colleagues and Jayhawks everywhere.
Respectfully,
Barb and Natalie
