KU Faculty and Staff

Dear Colleague,

As we continue to monitor the full impact of recent executive orders, we will release our annual required training in two phases:

  • Phase 1:  IT Security Awareness - Feb. 18 โ€“ March 25, 2025
  • Phase 2: All Other Required Training (e.g., Harassment Prevention, Impact and Belonging, etc.) โ€“ Fall 2025

Additional details and instructions will be emailed to you next Tuesday, Feb. 18 on how to access the IT Security Awareness training curriculum assigned to your MyTalent โ€“ Learning profile. Per the Required Training Policy, assigned required training must be completed by the specified deadline, which is March 25, 2025.

Under the One KU initiative, we will realign our required training schedule to be the same timeframe across all campuses. More details will be available in the fall. This timeline adjustment will also ensure that all federally required training is in alignment with provided guidance that has not yet been issued.

Annual training provides an opportunity to build and refresh our awareness, knowledge and understanding to continuously work toward building a better, safer environment. The IT Security Awareness module will help you navigate personal online safety, maintain cyber vigilance and protect our community from critical and costly disruptions to our data and systems.

Thank you in advance for your efforts to build and maintain a safer and more secure campus through your electronic use.

We appreciate all that you do for our students, your colleagues and Jayhawks everywhere.

Respectfully,

Natalie and Angie
