KU Lawrence Faculty and Staff

KU is committed to ensuring equal opportunity in employment for all people. To help us benchmark our progress toward a diverse and inclusive campus, it’s important that our faculty and staff demographic information is accurate.

All KU employees are invited to self-identify or update previous disclosures in the Personal Information section after logging into HR/Pay. Your participation and information will remain confidential. Neither your supervisor nor your department have access to this confidential information.

As a state university and federal contractor, KU is required to annually report race, ethnicity, disability and veteran data of our workforce and employee searches. The federal government defines disabilities as covering a variety of conditions and illnesses — including cancer, diabetes, trauma, addiction and depression — that can limit major life activities.

The information you provide will:

  • assist in measuring progress in our diversity, inclusion and accessibility initiatives,
  • help Human Resource Management provide the federally required numerical data,
  • guide efforts that bring new programming to campus.

This also is a good time to review your other personal information — such as address and contact information — and update that as needed too.

We all want KU to be welcoming as well as exceptional. Inclusion at KU starts with each one of us.
