Faunia Tuma

Faunia serves as chief of staff to the provost at the University of Kansas, where she serves as an advisor to Provost Arash Mafi and partners closely with executive leadership to advance institutional priorities and support the academic mission. In this role, she oversees the provost office operations, coordinates cross-functional academic and administrative initiatives, and ensures alignment to drive effective, results-oriented outcomes.

Previously, she served as chief of staff to Executive Dean Mafi in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and as operations manager and executive Associate to former Provost Barbara Bichelmeyer.

Faunia earned an MBA from Regis University and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Colorado State University.
