Christine Metz Howard

With nearly 25 years of communication experience, Christine Metz Howard serves as associate director of campus communications in the Office of the Provost. In this role, Christine contributes to the distribution of essential communications to the KU community and supports the communication efforts of units of the Provost's Office, including Operations, Human Resources and Information Technology. 

Beginning her career as a journalist, Christine wrote for community newspapers in Colorado, Oregon and Kansas. In 2014, she moved to the field of higher education and has previously served in various communication roles at KU, including at International Affairs, School of Music and News Service. 

A Pennsylvania native, Christine loves working in a vibrant campus community and connecting with people from around the world. In her downtime, Christine enjoys hiking, cooking, gardening and spending time with her husband and daughter.
