School of Pharmacy Leadership Transition

Dear students, staff and faculty,

I am writing to share news of changes within the School of Pharmacy. Dean Ron Ragan has informed me of his decision to step down from the role of Dean at KU, effective May 18. He will return to his appointment as a tenured professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice after he takes administrative leave to prepare for his return to teaching responsibilities.

I appreciate the contributions Ron has made to the School of Pharmacy and to the University of Kansas, especially regarding the impact of the COVID pandemic on the nature of work, study and scholarship within the School of Pharmacy.

Please join me in wishing Ron all the best as he makes this transition.

In the near future, I will follow up with details on interim leadership and next steps in coordinating a search for the next dean of the KU School of Pharmacy.
