What do you want to know about Jayhawks Rising?
Dear Colleague,
December and January were busy months on the Lawrence and Edwards campuses, with each Dean and Vice Provost sharing plans for their units that align with the priorities and objectives of our Jayhawks Rising strategic plan.
These annual presentations are a key part of the Jayhawks Rising process and help all in our community to work toward a common purpose. While the Deans presented for the second year, Vice Provosts reported for the first time, with 25 presentations in total. Presenters shared accomplishments from their units and detailed their plans and strategies to advance our institutional priorities. Participants who watched the presentations included governance leaders and vice chancellors, in addition to deans and vice provosts, and feedback from colleagues was collected in real time to share with each presenter.
I am incredibly grateful to all who participated, demonstrating how collaborative this campus can be.
These presentations reflect the excellence of each member of our community. When we celebrate achievements or talk about innovative strategies that meet the challenges of higher education, we are talking about all the work that we have done and plan to do together to make KU better, even if these connections aren’t always clear.
Moving forward, I am committed to making sure you have the information you need about Jayhawks Rising. To get us on the right track, please take this brief survey by March 1.
