Twenty-four individuals at the University of Kansas Lawrence and Edwards campuses earned specialty and career teaching faculty promotions this past year.

Promotions for career teaching and specialty faculty are determined and awarded through school or departmental reviews. Promotions for tenure-track faculty and scholarly positions follow a separate process that includes review by the University Committee on Promotion and Tenure and final approval by the Chancellor.

Amy Mendenhall, vice provost for faculty affairs, and Barbara Bichelmeyer, provost and executive vice chancellor, offered their congratulations.

“The achievements of these educators are a testament of their dedication to learning and fostering the growth of future leaders at KU,” Mendenhall said. “Please join us in congratulating these faculty members and their accomplishments.”

“We appreciate and applaud these talented and driven scholars for their commitment to the university and education,” Bichelmeyer said. “Their ongoing contributions to the KU community strengthen our position as innovators in research and scholarship.”

The promotions became effective at the conclusion of the spring semester, except where noted.
