National Day of Mourning on Dec. 5
Dear students, staff and faculty:
Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer declared a legal holiday in Kansas on Wednesday, Dec. 5, to observe the National Day of Mourning in honor of former President George H.W. Bush. The Kansas Board of Regents has authorized each of the Regents institutions to determine a schedule that meets the needs of its students, faculty and staff.
At the Lawrence and Edwards campuses classes will be held as normal. The work day for staff will be treated comparable to the Veterans Day holiday. Human Resource Management will send out a reminder to units about how time management and compensation works under these circumstances. Please send questions to provost@ku.edu.
