Staff Professional Development on Wellbeing and Self-Care
Sent on behalf of Vice Provost for Diversity & Equity Jennifer Hamer
The Office of Diversity and Equity invites you to “Wellbeing and Self Care at Work” A professional development opportunity for KU Staff on Tuesday, Feb. 6 or Wednesday, Feb. 7
Dear Colleague,
We invite you to join us for a conversation on wellbeing and self-care for staff at KU. We will explore what happens when we are in highly stressful situations and talk about ways we can navigate that stress to stay healthy, both emotionally and physically. Attendees will have an opportunity to consider what they want in their stress ‘toolkit’ – those times when we need to take care of ourselves first, so we can keep contributing and doing our best work for others. We will also discuss some healthy self-care habits and stress-relieving techniques we can easily incorporate into our daily life.
“Wellbeing and Self Care at Work” will be facilitated by Precious Porras, director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs; Sharon Riley, organizational development coordinator for KU Libraries; Linda Luckey, chief of staff for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; and Tami Albin, associate librarian.
