Winter Recess Details Available Online

Each year the University of Kansas makes arrangements for winter recess when certain services are reduced and some offices may be closed. In the past, a series of email announcements has been used to provide information and coordinate those arrangements.
A new winter recess website was created to help manage the various reporting aspects of winter recess and ensure faculty and staff know of dates, affected services, payroll reporting deadlines, opportunities to use benefits, and important campus contacts during this interval. Information about whether your campus office is closed during winter recess will come through your supervisor.
Moving forward, members of the larger campus community will be encouraged once by email in late fall to check the website for details about the annual winter recess. I hope you find the new website helpful and your email inboxes less cluttered.
