A new version of the Handbook for Faculty and Other Unclassified Staff is now available.

The handbook is an important document for members the University community and references many essential policies and procedures. The most recent previous revisions were in 1998 and 1986.

The new version is the result of work accomplished by a Faculty Senate Executive Committee Task Force charged with reviewing and revising the document in 2008. The revised handbook was approved by the Faculty Senate on March 12, 2009. The remainder of 2009 was spent updating many of the policies and procedures that are referenced by the handbook, with a small percentage still remaining to be done.

We hope you find the 2010 version of the handbook a clear summary of policies and procedures relevant to faculty and other unclassified staff. If you have questions or suggestions, please contact staff in the Policy Office, a division of the Office of the Provost, at 785-864-9600 or
