Brief Description of Engaged Scholarship:
For over 30 years the researchers have been documenting and analyzing the German settlement dialects of Kansas. In addition to numerous essays, theses and dissertations, they have published The Volga Germans of West Central Kansas (2006). The primary interface with scholars and the public is the website on the German Dialects of Kansas, featuriing soundfiles of Mennonite Low German, Volga German, Bukovina German and Pennsylvania German among others.
