Colleagues,

As we begin a new school year, the University of Kansas is renewing awareness regarding cybersecurity and staying safe online.

In October, the KU Privacy office, KU Information Technology, Research & Graduate Studies, Continuing Education, and the office of the Vice Provost for Student Affairs are coordinating campus Cybersecurity Awareness Month programming. Some of the security awareness activities planned include: departmental seminars on data management, security roundtables on the changing environment of threats, and workshops on KU Security Tools.

The Office of the Provost strongly encourages your units, centers, departments and schools to attend one of these offered security sessions or contact the Cybersecurity Awareness team (besekure@ku.edu) for a department-specific presentation. Please visit the Cybersecurity Awareness site at http://beseKUre.ku.edu for additional information about upcoming activities and to schedule a presentation.
